Luis Abad

With degrees in Law and in Economic Science from the Universidad de Deusto and the Universidad of Sarriko (Bilbao), respectively, Luis Abad has an extensive track record that features a number of entities in the financial sector, most particularly in the international banking, investment banking and venture capital areas. A former Director General of the International Division of the Grupo Exterior-Argentaria and Managing Director of its merchant bank, he has also been chairman or adviser to several of the Group’s banking, asset management, and international commerce subsidiaries in Europe, South America and Africa. He is a former Divisional Manager of the European Investment Bank (Luxembourg) and has held high-ranking positions in national and international departments of the former Banco de Vizcaya. He has participated directly in some twenty investment and disinvestment operations in non-listed companies.
